A talk by Graham Higgins.
Graham has been a magistrate since 1988 initially in Cheshire but in Suffolk since 1992. His talk will start with our legal heritage, particularly the part that Suffolk and Bury St Edmunds have played in the town motto of Bury St Edmunds “cradle of the law”. Graham will relate local events particularly the role magistrates have played in this history, and will also include some of his more unusual experiences on the bench.
