Haverhill and District u3a
Chair Report for 2025
Presented at the A.G.M. March 31st 2026

It is difficult to believe that it is now a year since you all elected me as Chair of Haverhill and District u3a. It has been a very interesting year for me and quite a learning curve, which I have enjoyed.
I have been very fortunate in that we currently have a very committed and supportive committee and I could not have done my job without them.
We have had some excellent speakers at the monthly Tuesday meetings thanks to the hard work put in by Sue to book these and look after them on the day of the meeting. For me the highlight of the year was the Christmas Concert which I believe everyone enjoyed, judging by the feedback. Many thanks to the Events Committee.
Carlo is continually working on the website to update and improve it and News and Views continues to be very popular. My thanks to all the members of the committee who have given me so much support and to the News and Views team.
I am prepared to stand for another year in the position of Chair and the voting will
take place at the A.G.M. on 31st March.

Haverhill and District u3a
Treasurer’s Report for 2025
Presented at the A.G.M. March 31st 2026

Financially 2025 was another good year. As you will see on the signed accounts income exceed expenditure by £337.55.
The income is greatly helped by Gift Aid receipts and I would ask any member who pays income tax to HMRC and has not agreed that Haverhill and District u3a can claim this against your membership fee to contact the membership secretary on membership@haverhillu3a.com to arrange this.
Gift Aid helps us to maintain the membership fee at its current level and will remain at £10.00 for the year 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027.
I would like to thank David Cook for once again carrying out our audit, and for processing our accounts so quickly and efficiently.
